Sahasra Suvasini Puja
On November 26, 2023, a grand spiritual event was conducted under the divine guidance of Guruji Shri Ramesh Natarajan and Guruma Smt. Sridevi Gayathri. The highlight of the day was the performance of Sri Chakra Navavarana Pooja, Sahasra Suvasini Pooja, and Poornabhishekam for selected Sri Vidya upasakas. The Sahasra Suvasini Pooja was organized in collaboration with the North American Telugu Association (NATA).
The celebrations began in the early hours of the morning, with participants assembling at 4 a.m. Volunteers meticulously set up the Durga idol, kalashams, and stage décor, and arranged seating for nearly one thousand Suvasinis. After a delightful breakfast, the Sri Vidya upasakas commenced the sacred Navavarana Pooja.
Following this, members of GuruCool performed a detailed Shodashopachara Pooja for all the Suvasinis, showcasing devotion through various deepams and offerings. Each Suvasini was then honored individually through the Suvasini Pooja. The morning session concluded with a traditional and fulfilling lunch.
The afternoon session unfolded uniquely with a Sri Chakra mat spread across the hall, marking each avarana. Ladies were seated in alignment with the positions of the Devis as described in Khadgamala, with Guruma seated at the center. Guruji performed the Pooja, invoking the divine presence in every participant.
From the serene predawn preparations to the rhythmic chanting and fragrance of incense, the entire atmosphere radiated sacred energy. Every detail—rituals, decorations, and music—reflected devotion and meticulous organization. The harmony among participants and the divine presence of Guruji and Guruma filled the venue with blissful vibration and spiritual warmth.
This event stood as a shining example of community collaboration. The seamless coordination between volunteers, upasakas, and NATA members ensured that every aspect was executed with dedication and reverence. The GuruCool members displayed remarkable devotion, skill, and teamwork in conducting complex rituals and managing the massive gathering with grace.
Many attendees expressed that witnessing the poojas and participating in the collective devotion was a deeply transforming experience. The Poornabhishekam of selected upasakas, marking their spiritual graduation, was especially moving—symbolizing years of sadhana and inner refinement. Devotees described the entire day as both humbling and elevating.
The event left an indelible imprint on all who attended. It was not just a ritual gathering but a divine celebration of Sri Vidya, devotion, and communal harmony—a memorable occasion that will be cherished by the GuruCool family for years to come.
