In a remarkable display of devotion and unity, the global community of GRD Iyers GuruCool came together under the divine guidance of Guruji Shri Ramesh Natarajan and Guruma Smt. Sridevi Gayathri to fulfill a sacred sankalpam — the “Lalitha Sahasranama Koti Archana“. The vow, undertaken by Guruji in early 2024, symbolized not only the invocation of Devi’s boundless grace but also the GuruCool’s living commitment to collective spiritual discipline and the preservation of Vedic traditions in modern life. Spanning continents and months of continuous chanting, this event marked a milestone in GuruCool’s journey of global spiritual connection and sadhana.
Guided meticulously by Guruji, the students of GuruCool commenced the archana in March 2024 with a solemn sankalpam. Each member performed the “Lalitha Sahasranama Archana“ regularly from their homes, contributing to the grand count of one crore (koti) namavalis. In a profound act of tapas, Guruji further undertook a “Mandala Archana“ — a 48-day continuous offering of the Sahasranamam each evening — which inspired the shishyas to follow with a second 48-day mandala, maintaining seamless devotion and collective participation.
The uniqueness of this enterprise lay in its global reach — devotees from India, North America, Europe, and other parts of the world joined online every day via Zoom, united in synchronized worship and chanting. The unity and precision displayed through these virtual gatherings reflected the GuruCool tradition’s adaptability and commitment to Vedic authenticity across time and space.
The grand finale of this sacred endeavor was celebrated on “July 20, 2024“, in “Mississauga, Canada“, with Guruji, Guruma, and several GuruCool members joining devotees for an in-person gathering. A magnificent 2 ft x 2 ft “Sri Meru“ was consecrated under Guruji’s direction with detailed *prāṇa-pratiṣṭhāpana* rituals, following which a “Shodashopachara Puja“ and full-scale “Lalitha Sahasranama Archana“ were performed. Devotees were also blessed with the rare opportunity to personally offer archana to the divine Meru. The ceremonies included offerings of various types of deepams, such as *Nakshatra Deepam* and *Eka Deepam*, performed with flawless precision by Srini Ji.
The energy throughout the event was deeply uplifting and serene. The resonant chanting of thousands of Lalitha namavalis across time zones and the culminating on-site archana created an atmosphere charged with divine vibration. Students’ discipline and unity during the months-long journey exemplified the spiritual strength cultivated under Guruji and Guruma’s mentorship. Attendees described the finale as an immersive and transcendent experience — a tangible descent of Devi’s presence through collective devotion.
The Mississauga event also reflected GuruCool’s nurturing of global community spirit. Devotees and students from around the world joined hands — physically and virtually — in seva, chanting, and hospitality. Following the pooja, a *sathvik bhojanam* (community lunch) was lovingly shared among Guruji, Guruma, students, and visiting devotees, reinforcing the hallmark GuruCool experience of family-like togetherness and joyful celebration of devotion.
One devotee expressed, “To be part of the Koti Archana even from across the ocean felt like Devi was present right beside me.” Another participant shared, “The energy during the Mississauga finale was beyond description — it was as though the entire universe vibrated with the Lalitha Sahasranama.”
